Mother's Day Freebie!

I just wanted to stop by and wish all you mothers out there a fantastic Mother's Day!

Hubby and I are pretty strapped for cash this weekend because his paycheck was delayed, so we'll be spending the day very low-key - what would be super nice would be being able to sleep in, waking up to a clean house, and a nice lunch cooked by my husband. I can only hope!

I wanted to drop by and give you all a little Mother's Day freebie that I made up. Tiffany mentioned she was making a little freebie for her blog for Mother's Day and suggested I do so too, so here it is! My freebie matches hers, as we made it from the same color swatch as the Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Train swatch we created back in November. If you go over to the sidebar, you'll find a set of links, and if you click on the Breast Cancer Awareness link, it will take you right to that download. You'll have a matching kit!

You can go to InspiredbyDominic Designs blog here and pick up her freebie as well!

Click on the images to be taken to the downloads!

Also, if you have a little Mother's Day money to spend, my shop is still on sale today at 50% off - I was going to mark it down to 40% but I decided to keep it at 50%! Go to my shop here!

Enjoy your freebies and have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Holiday Sale! Save up to 40% off!

It's that time of year! With less than a week to go before Christmas (can you believe it?! It really did go by so fast this year), I'm feeling in the Christmas spirit!

From Sunday 12/20 until Sunday 12/27 at midnight, my entire store (not including Dec. Surf's Up and Grab Bags) is 30% off. And as an extra merry little bonus, if your order total is $5 or more, you'll automatically receive an extra 10% off your order. You don't need a coupon code, savings are already set up for you. That means all you have to do is go into the shop, pick out your favorite items, add to your cart, and proceed to check out! AND...you don't have to wait until Sunday to save, because I've already set up the sale in the store! So head on in!

I probably won't be back with anything NEW until after the New Year. I'm working on a few new things but pretty much taking a holiday to be with my family until the holidays are over. I may not even be back with another blog post until after the holidays are over. So if I don't show up until after all the New Year excitement has died down...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Buy My Store, New Releases, Black Friday Sales!

So....how was everyone's Thanksgiving? Did you gorge yourself with food? I know I did. I was super-stuffed. Thanksgiving in my family is the BEST meal of the year, no joke. Turkey, stuffing, homemade chicken and noodles (the best part, I could deal without all the rest)...I almost didn't fit out the door on the way home. Isaac stuffed himself too - mostly with pumpkin pie! He's a big fan of pumpkin pie. I'm a cherry pie person myself lol.

And how was your Black Friday? What time did you wake up? Did you hit the stores? Any good deals? My parents and Isaac and I skipped the stores and went about an hour away instead - we hit a Target and Walmart and a couple of clothing stores - I had a little bit of money and decided to buy me some new clothes, which I was in such desperate need of. I bought some really comfy jeans, a new sweater, a blouse and an "I love Vampires" hoodie lol. My mom bought me a pair of earrings and a necklace that says "Bite Me" - I looked like a 17-year-old Edward obsessed fan in my New Moon t-shirt the whole time!

This weekend I have some spectacular Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals going on for you.

First, my entire store is 50% off, including CU and New Releases. Here's what New Releases I have for you this weekend:

All these are available in my store here. If you like all the pieces, be sure to check out the bundle (shown above, last image) for a super special deal on all the pieces and save money! (Psst...it's 50% off until Monday too so you save MEGA BUCKS!)

In addition to that, I currently have a limited-time Buy My Store offer going on. You can get ALL my CU/PU items for one very low price.

All you have to do is add the Buy My Store product to you cart, check out, and download the .txt file with information. You don't have to do anything right away. Your unique coupon code will be sent to your email address that you provided at check-out within 24-48 hours (please be patient as it is a holiday weekend). If you don't get an email, the .txt file includes information on how to contact me to get your coupon code.

All my products are S4H/S4O friendly so if you own a S4H business this is a great way to add to your stash!

Your coupon code will be good until 12/31/09 (may be extended at my discretion) and will be valid on any new product released until expiration! It's a major win situtation. I won't do anything like this again soon, so be sure to stock up while you can!

Currently I'm starting to work on New Year's stuff and I have a great surprise kit coming sometime in December or January - it's a collab but I can't tell you with who or what it will be. You won't be disappointed though! I'm also working on some CU Overlays as we speak - I plan to release two packs sometime in December. Not too sure when because I've barely started on them but you'll love them!

Enjoy your holiday weekend - eat plenty of leftovers, have lots of fun with your families, and hope you get some great deals on gifts from your Christmas lists!

Tidal Wave Weekend!

Hello everyone! It's Tidal Wave Weekend on the Island!

Unfortunately, I don't have any new goodies to show you this weekend. I've been crazy busy working on some new stuff for Christmas, and I have some fantastic things lined up before the end of the year - you're going to be thrilled! But you can always go check out the shop and you can find some great brand-new goodies - and they're all 25% off for the weekend! (Image is linked.)

Like I said, I've been crazy busy woking on Christmas stuff here. Not only in digi-scrapping but in real life as well. We started Christmas a little early here in our household, as we put the tree up the other day (I believe Tuesday). All of my beautiful villages are up, our stockings are hung, all the lights are strung...and frankly, I've never seen our house so lit up! It's beautiful. I'd show you the pictures I took the first night but they're not hooked up to my laptop. Maybe I will get some pictures tonight and edit the post with them.

I'm so excited - New Moon opened today! Me and Hubby are going tomorrow at 2PM. Our tickets are already purchased and we're ready to go. I'm hoping no one ruins it for me till then lol. Hopefully I'll come back with a picture at least so I can scrap it.

That's all for me today...remember to go check out all the designers goodies at Scrapable!

New layout for blog

So does everyone like the new layout for the blog? I know it looks a little plain, I'm still working on it. But I got so incredibly worn out on designing and doing things for my blog (I haven't done anything but that for at least a week or more) that I decided I needed to do a little scrapping to take a break. So I'm gonna do a couple days of scrapping till I get my design mojo going again, lol! So when I get back to doing some stuff I'll work on it a little more.

I'm working on the challenges over at K-Joi and then when I get done with some of those I'm going to move over to some of the other sites. I still have to do my layout for the sketch challenge over at K-Joi, but I don't feel like doing it right now. I've been doing lots of 4th of July layouts lately, started with last year's and now I've moved on to this years. We got some GREAT pictures this weekend. Isaac was very good and cooperative at the BBQ (which was a lot of fun), and loved to ham it up for the camera. He just loved "popping" his "fireworks" (which were nothing but smoke bombs and those little things you throw on the ground, cause I wanted him to be able to get close without getting hurt)...but he didn't know any better, and he was scared of the bigger fireworks anyway so he had fun. He actually held a sparkler this year, and we got pictures of that, so you'll see some layouts with that soon. I'm loving working on these 4th layouts, it's just so much fun working with the colors!

My TMJ is acting up tonight so I'm cutting this short. I'll try to get back into the mojo soon. I'm about to release a new kit, it's a redesign of one of the first kits in the Next Best Thing contest (which I didn't make it, but I'll have a much better surprise coming soon anyway, so it's okay!), so I will probably try to make a quickpage or two out of it. I'll also probably have a sale on it for the first few days, so I hope you will want to snatch it up at the reduced price!

Alright everyone, good night! I'll let you know when the new kit is out!

Fourth of July sale!

Happy weekend everyone! Well, we're officially a week away from July 4th. I've already started seeing the posters and radio ads fly up for fireworks...it really gets me excited. I just love Fourth of July...not too big of a fan of fireworks, lol, but I just love the look of them and going to the city fireworks show is always exciting for me. Hopefully this year, we can find a good place with good view of the fireworks. I found out last year that my camera takes pretty decent shots of fireworks, so I'm pretty excited to get some.

Since I love the BBQ's and the fireworks and all that so much, I'm having a sale. 25% off my entire store - which makes some of my items only $0.75. If you missed my Daditude QP when it was a freebie at KJoi, you can now pick it up for only $0.75, as well as some other Daditude items if you don't have the whole collection. If you're more interested in the whole thing, my Daditude bundle is only $3.50 with this sale! You can also pick up Love By The Lakeside, my newest kit, for only $3.50 as well. And while you're there, you can pick up the word art to match Love By The Lakeside for only $0.75.

We hear whether we go to the next round of DSI's The Next Best Thing very soon. In less than an hour, I believe. I'm so nervous. I had a whole kit planned, the idea was fantastic, and then at the eleventh hour the entire idea just caved on me. The items that I was planning to extract wouldn't scan or photograph at good enough quality and I just didn't have time to mess around with them, but they were what made the kit so charming, so I had to start over with a different theme. I'm disappointed, but that's the way life goes right? So hopefully what I came up with is good enough to make it. I'll let you guys know.

Well I have a ton of things on my to-do list today and some really need to get done before 4:00 (5 hours away!) including cleaning, so I better go and get started! I'll have a few new things coming out very soon, including a blog train scheduled to take off on the 1st, my first blog train!

Long time no blog - and a GIFT!

Before I get to the gift...long time no blog from me. I just noticed the last time I blogged was the 11th...last week! I've been busy with working, and I've also been working on something special. More on that at the end of the post.

To update you a little on my Mother's Day I talked about in my last post - it was interesting to say the least! After I posted we opened the oven expecting our pizza to be done, and it was nowhere near! We've been having problems with our oven that we haven't gotten fixed yet, so we had to take it over to our neighbors, who just happens to be my best friend and boss. Luckily she was understanding and threw it in for us, otherwise we'd have had nothing for dinner that night! But boy, it was a catastrophe when it came out. A combination of a little too much oil on the dough and lots of pepperoni, and it was an over-greasy mess! I barely ate one piece, and I was sick the entire morning after! The popcorn and movie were both good though lol.

Okay, I'll get to the gift now...

Monday I was looking through my files of designs, and I noticed I still had some pieces to the Mother's Day kit that I liked. So I thought, "Why not give it another go?" It's so much better creating without a deadline! So I gave it another go and here's what I came up with...so much better. The first part today will be the paper word art I created. These are little paper strips with sayings and words on them. There's a total of 31, 30 with phrases and words, making sure to include grandma in there, and including "3 Generations" all the way up to "6 Generations"! There is also a blank one so you can customize it any way you like. Like I said, there are phrases to include mothers and grandmothers, so you can scrap those photos of Mother's Day celebrations. The papers and elements are quite vintage looking, so these photos would be perfect for all those old heritage photos. I am going to try to come back tomorrow with a layout to show you all.

Here's the first download - it's very small in size.

Hope you enjoy them! The papers will be tomorrow - as for the elements, I can't promise they will come the day after. As they stand right now, I'm not fond of some of them. But I had to take a break and do something for just me, so I will figure it out and I will have them!

I'm digi-scrapping tonight and I'd like to share a layout I just made.

You can't really see it too well. But it's made from Tiffany's SYTYCD Week 2 kit, "Dated: May". Unfortunately, she didn't make it to round 3. But she says she will be coming out with new stuff soon. Her son's birthday is next weekend, and she has to get stuff ready for that, and her in-laws are visiting as well. I look forward to her new stuff :) Go check out her blog!

I think that's all for me today. I will be back tomorrow night with the papers to the Mother's Day kit and hopefully a layout made with them. I really like these papers! I will also try to figure out what to do with my elements :) Good night!

I've come to a decision...

Boy, that title makes it sound so bad, or at the very least, important huh? lol It's not really. I've decided that I'm not going to do a Mother's Day kit this year. At least not yet. I've tried to work on it and I hate everything I come up with. I'm going to focus on a Father's Day kit for right now. I probably won't be putting out anything until at least the middle of June, I need to find out what works for me, hone my skills, and figure out what I like doing. Plus, my husband's birthday, our anniverysary, and Father's Day are all within a week and a half time frame, so it would be kind of a shame not to put something out then.

So how was everyone's Mother's Day? Mine was nothing special. I had to work and so did hubby so we didn't get a chance to do anything. Today we made up for it. After I got off work we went to get groceries, then came home and changed clothes and went to the mall. We got ice cream, did a little window shopping, Isaac rode the 50 cent rides, and we got our picture sketched at one of those little booth things. I just love those things - it makes for a good cheap family picture for the scrapbook lol. Then we went and we intended to rent a movie and a video game, but we ended up accidentally buying the movie and renting the video game! Don't ask how it happened because we don't even know. We got "What Happens In Vegas" so we'll see how it turns out. Not really a fan of Cameron Diaz or Ashton Kutcher, but I can't say that I hate them either. We'll see. Oh and we're making pizza and popcorn too. It's been a really long time since we've done anything like this so it should be interesting.

Pizza's almost done and I haven't even opened my PSP to scrapbook like hubby wanted me to, so I'm going to cut this off. Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!

Easter Festivities

As I type, I'm uploading pictures from today. I would have done this much, much sooner than now but when I sat down to do it, I found out my camera was in the car, and the car was with Heath at work. I hate it when I do that.

I don't know that I can say we had a "happy" Easter or not. We woke up to lots of rain and a yard full of mud, so automatically that meant moving the egg hunt indoors. When I got Isaac up and got him dressed, he's still suffering with some kind of cold. He's got a bad cough and a runny nose, and you could tell he felt miserable. To be quite honest with you, I knew the day was going to be a disaster from the moment I stepped outside the house. Isaac jumped in a mud puddle the second we got outdoors, because Heath refused to carry him so that he wouldn't get his good pants dirty and I had an armful with an Easter basket and my camera and purse and other goodies. Then when we got to my aunt's house, everybody else was sick as well, so nobody really felt like doing an egg hunt. Nonetheless, we went on with it. First Isaac threw a fit and refused to have anything to do with his Easter baskets or the egg hunt. We had to show him that he had a ton of goodies in those baskets, including tons of toy cars and Cars memoribilia. My teenage cousin was throwing a fit as well, of which I have nil patience for. He's 14 though and not my child, so what could I do? Just smile and nod. Then we had a struggle getting Isaac in the mood to hunt eggs. Right before we decided to just forget the whole thing, he found one egg and he was off and running! There was no stopping that kid. Everytime he would find a new egg, he would tighten up his entire body and let out this high-pitched giggle that just made my day. He would have to stop every now and then to crack one open and see what kind of candy was inside. We finally left around one, as I had to be at work at two to help the boy who was there open, because he doesn't know how to open. I wasn't in that great of a mood when I got there, and I was in an even worse mood when I left. My boss, who also happens to be my best friend since 7th grade forgot to mention to me that we had a 9ft party sub going out 30 minutes after open. For me, a party sub of that length takes at least 45 minutes to an hour to make, and I finally got done with my part of the opening duties at 2:30. You do the math. It didn't help that the customer showed up 30 minutes early to pick it up, so he had to wait because I wasn't done with it. I was just a little disappointed, because had I known, I could have been a bit more prepared. I could have come in just a few minutes early to help with a little offset of time. And then tonight - couldn't find my camera, didn't feel all that great, and learned I have to go in to work early and probably won't get out until later than I'm supposed to - which does not thrill me at all. I guess hopefully I will be over it in the morning.

Here are some pictures from this afternoon:

And here are yet a couple more from when Isaac asked me to take pictures of his "funny faces":

The kid is so comical when he wants to be. And he picks up on things so easily. He picked this up from Yo Gabba Gabba. (Side note: If you'll notice in my "When I Became Your Mother" layout, I've lost my mind to this show. It's hiding somewhere in Foofa's flowers or something, because they clearly have it. I can't even watch the show with him because it leaves me braindead for hours. True story.) At two, he can already count to 10 (15 if he really wants to), and he can recognize some of his colors. ABC's are a little challenging, but he knows almost every animal and will point them out if he sees them in the little packages of embellishments if we go to Hobby Lobby. This kid sometimes knows things even I don't know or recognize. He has the best eyes and ears I've ever seen. He can hear a train from literally, a mile away, even when us old fogeys hear nothing. I keep telling my husband that he will come home one day and tell us he wants to go to an Ivy League school. And that will be the day my scrapbooking hobby ends because there will be NO extra money lol.

I guess I'd better head off to bed, but I want to do a little bit of name-dropping before I go. First, Tiffany (InspiredbyDominic) is having a 25% off sale in both of her stores. Her kits are so fabulous, she has to be one of my favorite designers ever. I'm on her CT, and I have talked to her almost every day for about a week. She is a fantastic person, she has helped me so much with all this scary stuff with just starting off designing, and I've seen some of her new stuff coming out and it's just fantastic. You need to go pick up something of hers that you like, because this sale will only last from the 13th to the 19th. Go to her blog for more details.

Tiff's Blog

I also almost forgot to tell you that I'm uploading Easter pictures and others to my Webshots album. I will eventually put the link in the sidebar, but for now, here it is.

My Webshots

I will get to bed now. I will probably blog tomorrow again. Have a good night. Hope everyone else had a great Easter!
